Welcome to the port of Rum Runner Charters, where we
specialize in premier private and small group charters. We offer
superior half day and full day sport fishing trips for Salmon,
Halibut, or Rockfish. Our Whale Watching and Photo Safari Charters are
second to none, offering our two and a half hour Whale Watching tour, our four hour Captain's Choice Wildlife excursion, and

| On these pages you will find answers to many of your
questions and a wealth of information, so take a moment and browse. You
will find current prices listed after each trip description and when you
are ready to reserve head over to our reservation
page. Please note that all our trips include your transportation
(if needed), this is important as a taxi can be very expensive. (Cruise ship passengers, we can pick you up at your ship). Please reserve early, this looks to be a busy season. |
C/V Rum Runner

The charter vessel Rum Runner is a 31 ft cabin cruiser
designed to comfortably take up to six passengers*, captain and crew
member. She has been retrofitted with the new generation Volvo Penta
OSI 5.7L 350s with composite dual props, this means speed
and no diesel fumes. She has a heated cabin, self-contained flush
toilet, and state of the
art electronics, including a forward scanning depth sounder/fishfinder, a
color sounder,
GPS mapping system and Hydrophone (for listening to the whales). The Rum
Runner is inspected by the USCG and has the top award as a 5-Star vessel
for safety.

Captain Chris Conder
|

The C/V Rum Runner is piloted by her Captain and your guide
Chris Conder. Chris has been in or on the water for most of his
life. He came to Alaska straight out of high school back in '75 and
earned his way through the University working the commercial fishing and
diving boats in the gulf of Alaska. Captain Chris has worked, dove,
and done research from the Arctic Ice Pack to the fjords of Southeast
Alaska. With Chris's education in Marine Biology, he has a unique
insight to the fish and wildlife that abounds around the Juneau
area. He settled in Juneau in '85 and started operating the Rum
Runner in '93. Since then the C/V Rum Runner has grown into one of
the busiest and most requested charter boats in Southeast Alaska.
